Cylch Meithrin Y Drenewydd meets in a modern purpose built building on the campus of Ysgol Dafydd llwyd set on the outskirts of the picturesque market town of Newtown in the severn valley. It is a Welsh Medium Early Years setting. The majority of the children move to the Welsh medium primary school, Ysgol Dafydd Llwyd, for the next stage of their education.

Children are able to attend the Cylch from the age of 2 years. the 2-3 year old room is a Flying Start provider.

The term following their 3rd birthday they proceed to the Early Education room.

Children who attend the Cylch come from the town and the surrounding rural communities.

There has been an existence of a Cylch Meithrin in the town for over 40 years.The setting is regularly inspected by various organisations, such as CIW, ESTYN and Environmental Health.

We are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) for full day-care, and the maximum number of children being cared for at any time does not exceed 56.
